David Chung (golfer)
David Chung (born January 14, 1990) is an American professional golfer. He was the number one ranked golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in late 2010 and early 2011. Chung was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina to parents of Korean heritage, Christian and Elise Chung. Amateur career In 2004, at age 14, Chung was the runner-up in the U.S. Junior Amateur. He also advanced to the semifinals of the U.S. Junior Amateur in 2005. He was the 2005 runner-up in the Western Junior. In 2005, Chung was the Junior Boys Carolinas Player of the year and in 2010, he was the Men's Carolinas Player of the Year. In addition, he was the 2007 First-Team AJGA Rolex Junior All-American. Chung attended Stanford University. In 2009, as a freshman, he was named to the All-Pac-10 Conference second team. PGA Tour Latinoamérica is a third level professional golf tour formed in 2012 and operated by the PGA Tour. It was formed in concert with the now defunct Tour de las Américas. Executives from the Tour de las Américas became employees of the new tour. PGA Tour Latinoamérica is one of a number of lower-tier tours that factor into the Official World Golf Ranking, awarding a minimum of six points to the winner and points to the top six plus ties. The top five in the tour's Order of Merit earn status on the Korn Ferry Tour, with the money leader being fully exempt. 2010 Eisenhower Trophy
The 2010 Eisenhower Trophy took place 28–31 October at the Buenos Aires Golf Club and the Olivos Golf Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the 27th World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy and the second to be held in Argentina. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 69 three-man teams. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. Each team was due to play two rounds on the two courses. Weather delays on the second day meant that the second round was not completed until the third day and the event was reduced to 54 holes. The leading 36 teams played their third round at Buenos Aires Golf Club while the others played at Olivos Golf Club. France won their first Eisenhower Trophy, four strokes ahead of Denmark, who took the silver medal. The United States took the bronze medal while New Zealand finished fourth. Joachim B. 2010 Palmer Cup
The 2010 Palmer Cup was held on 24–26 June 2010 at the Royal Portrush Golf Club in Portrush, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The United States won 13–11. Format The format was revised with play being over three days rather than two. On Thursday, there were four matches of four-ball in the morning, followed by four foursomes matches in the afternoon. Eight singles matches were played on Friday, and eight more on Saturday. In all, 24 matches were played. Each of the 24 matches was worth one point in the larger team competition. If a match was all square after the 18th hole, each side earned half a point toward their team total. The team that accumulated at least 12½ points won the competition. The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. The TransAmerican Power Products CRV Open was a men's professional golf tournament held in Mexico on PGA Tour Latinoamérica.
