David C. Wilson (screenwriter)
David Campbell Wilson is an American screenwriter, probably best known for creating '' The Perfect Weapon'' and ''Supernova''. He also credited for the screenplay of '' Terminator Salvation'' in early promotional material, but not for the final cut of the film. Mr. Wilson has worked with many directors, among them Francis Ford Coppola, John McTiernan, and Walter Hill. Most recently, he wrote the screen story for Guy Ritchie's adaptation of '' The Man from U.N.C.L.E.''. The Perfect Weapon (1991 Film)
''The Perfect Weapon'' is a 1991 martial arts action film directed by Mark DiSalle and starring Jeff Speakman, Mako Iwamatsu, James Hong, and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. Set in Los Angeles, the film relates the story of a young man (Speakman), who is trained in the martial art of American Kenpo, and his fight against the Korean mafia. Speakman was a student of and was advised closely by Ed Parker in the making of this film. The film's taglines included "No gun. No knife. No equal." and "Just try him." and is the only well-known Hollywood depiction of Kenpo techniques on-screen. ''Supernova'' is a 2000 science fiction action film written by David C. Wilson, William Malone and Daniel Chuba and directed by Walter Hill, credited as "Thomas Lee." "Thomas Lee" was chosen as a directorial pseudonym for release in lieu of Alan Smithee, as the latter had become too well known as a badge of a film being disowned by its makers. It was originally developed in 1988 by director William Malone as "Dead Star," with paintings by H. R. Giger and a plot that had been called "''Hellraiser'' in outer space."
