David Burton (cricketer, Born 1985)
David Alexander Burton (born 23 August 1985) is a first-class cricketer, who has played county cricket for Gloucesteshire, Middlesex and Northamptonshire. Career Burton became a county cricketer after representing four different counties in Second Eleven or friendly matches in 2005 and 2006 ( Surrey, Sussex, Essex and Gloucestershire). Whilst at Gloucestershire, he played two Second Eleven matches in the latter part of 2006, taking 5–66 against Derbyshire and 5-76 and 3–60 against Glamorgan and was rewarded by being selected for the First XI in Gloucestershire's last County Championship match of the season against Glamorgan. Coming in at no.10 with the score on 384–8, he scored 52* in a 128-run partnership with Mark Hardinges, Gloucestershire's highest-ever ninth-wicket stand against Glamorgan. Stockwell is a district in south west London, part of the London Borough of Lambeth, England. It is situated south of Charing Cross. The County Cricket Ground (usually shortened to the County Ground, also known as the Racecourse Ground; currently the Incora County Ground due to sponsorship) is a cricket ground in Derby, England. Kent County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Kent. 2008 English Cricket Season
The 2008 English cricket season was the 109th in which the County Championship had been an official competition. Four regular tournaments were played: The LV County Championship ( first-class), Friends Provident Trophy ( 50 Over), NatWest Pro40 League ( 40 Over) and the Twenty20 Cup ( T20). All four tournaments featured the eighteen classic county cricket teams, although the Friends Provident Trophy also featured sides from Ireland and Scotland.
