David Buckley (Gaelic Footballer)
David Buckley (born October 2001) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays at club level with Newcetsown and at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team. He usually lines out as a forward. Career Buckley first came to prominence as a dual player at juvenile and underage levels with the Newcestown club. He was part of the Newcestown minor teams that claimed a minor double in 2019, while also making his senior team debut that year. Buckley first appeared on the inter-county scene as a member of the Cork minor football team in 2018. He later won a Munster Championship title with the under-20 side. Buckley was first selected for the Cork senior football team for the pre-season McGrath Cup competition in 2022. He later earned inclusion on the team's National League panel. 2021 All-Ireland Under-20 Football Championship
The 2021 All-Ireland Under-20 Football Championship was the fourth staging of the All-Ireland Under-20 Championship and the 58th staging overall of a Gaelic football championship for players between the minor and senior grades. The championship began on 1 July and ended on 15 August 2021. Galway entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Mayo after a penalty shootout in the Connacht semi-final. The final was played on 15 August 2021 at Croke Park in Dublin, between Offaly and Roscommon, in what was their first ever championship meeting. Offaly won the match by 1-14 to 1-11 to claim their second championship title overall and a first title since 1988. The All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC) ( ga, Craobh Shinsir Peile na hÉireann) is the premier competition in Gaelic football. An annual tournament organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), it is contested by the county teams in All-Ireland.
