David Blanchard
David James Blanchard (January 5, 1921December 23, 1962) was an American lawyer and Republican politician who served as the 63rd speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly. His father, George Washington Blanchard, was a U.S. congressman. Biography Blanchard was born on January 5, 1921, in Edgerton, Wisconsin. His father, George Washington Blanchard, was a member of the United States House of Representatives. Blanchard graduated from the University of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin Law School. He practiced law in Edgerton, Wisconsin. He married Carolyn Jensen, on September 29, 1943. Blanchard died of uremia on December 23, 1962, in Edgerton, Wisconsin. George Molinaro
George E. Molinaro (October 1, 1902September 29, 1978) was an American businessman and politician. He was the 74th Speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly. A Democrat, he served a total of 30 years in the Assembly, representing Kenosha, Wisconsin, and was a member of the Democratic Assembly caucus leadership for many years. He was also one of the charter members of UAW Local 72 in Kenosha, and was involved in the leadership of that Local for more than a decade. Early life and career Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Molinaro was educated in the Kenosha public schools and attended the Kenosha Business College before going to work as an auto worker and production inspector at the Nash Motors plant in Kenosha. Uremia is the term for high levels of urea in the blood. Urea is one of the primary components of urine. It can be defined as an excess of amino acid and protein metabolism end products, such as urea and creatinine, in the blood that would be normally excreted in the urine. ''Uremic syndrome'' can be defined as the terminal clinical manifestation of kidney failure (also called ''renal failure''). It is the signs, symptoms and results from laboratory tests which result from inadequate excretory, regulatory, and endocrine function of the kidneys. The Speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly is the presiding officer of the Wisconsin State Assembly, the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Article IV of the Constitution of Wisconsin, ratified in 1848, establishes the legislature and specifies the election of officers. Wisconsin State Assembly
The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Representatives are elected for two-year terms, elected during the fall elections. If a vacancy occurs in an Assembly seat between elections, it may be filled only by a special election. The Wisconsin Constitution limits the size of the State Assembly to between 54 and 100 members inclusive. Since 1973, the state has been divided into 99 Assembly districts apportioned amongst the state based on population as determined by the decennial census, for a total of 99 representatives.
