David Blair (rugby Union)
David William Blair (born 14 July 1985) is a Scottish former rugby union player who played Stand Off and played for Sale Sharks from 2003 to 2007 and then Edinburgh Gunners Edinburgh Rugby (formerly Edinburgh Reivers, Edinburgh Gunners) is one of the two professional rugby union teams from Scotland. The club competes in the United Rugby Championship, along with the Glasgow Warriors, its oldest rival. Edinburgh play ... in the Magners League from 2007 to 2011. Blair was captain and the highest points scorer for Scotland Under 21 in the team's history. Alex Blair (born 16 November 1990) is a Scotland 'A' international rugby union player. Rugby Union career Amateur career Impressing for Edinburgh Academicals, he was offered a contract by Edinburgh Rugby in 2010. While with Edinburgh Rugby he played for Melrose. He turned out for Edinburgh Academicals again when he was released by Edinburgh Rugby in 2011. He played for Southern Districts in Australia in the summer of 2013. When he was offered a trial to return to Edinburgh Rugby he was still playing for Edinburgh Academicals. Professional career Blair signed for Edinburgh Rugby in 2010. Mike Blair
Michael Robert Leighton Blair (born 20 April 1981) is a Scottish rugby union coach who was formerly a professional player. He is the head coach of Edinburgh. He played at scrum-half for Glasgow Warriors, Newcastle Falcons, CA Brive and Edinburgh Rugby. He represented the Scotland national side 85 times, as well as the touring with the British & Irish Lions in 2009. He retired from playing on 21 April 2016 aged 35. He then became an assistant coach with Glasgow Warriors and then an assistant coach of the Scottish national team. He was the first Scottish player to be nominated for the title of IRB World Player of the Year. Club career Blair spent most of his club career at Edinburgh, and was named in the Pro12 Dream team at the end of the 2007/08 season.
