David A. Bennett (born April 8, 1955) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives representing District 20 since January 2011. Education Bennett earned his AA from Rhode Island Junior College (now the Community College of Rhode Island) and his BA from Rhode Island College. Elections *2018 Bennett was unopposed for the September 12, 2018 Democratic primary (winning with 1,083 votes), advancing to a rematch with Independent candidate Dan Elliott. The State of Rhode Island General Assembly is the state legislature (United States), state legislature of the U.S. state of Rhode Island. A bicameral body, it is composed of the lower house, lower Rhode Island House of Representatives with 75 representatives, and the upper house, upper Rhode Island Senate with 38 senators. Raymond A. Hull (born September 18, 1963) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives representing District 6 since January 2011. During the legislative session beginning in 2015, Hull was one of three African-American members of the Rhode Island House of Representatives.
