David Barker (zoologist)
David Barker (18 February 1922 – 7 January 2009) was a British zoologist and neurologist specialising in animal neuroanatomy. He was professor emeritus of zoology at the University of Durham and is honoured by the annual award of the David Barker Prize in Zoology. In February 1963, he published ''Zoology and Medical Research''. Barker studied anatomy at the University of Oxford from 1941 to 1943 under the tutelage of John Zachary Young. Philip David Barker (born 22 September 1951) is an English former cricketer and field hockey player. In cricket, Barker was a right-handed batsman who bowled both left-arm medium pace and slow left-arm orthodox. He was born in Edmonton, Middlesex. Barker made his debut for Suffolk in the 1972 Minor Counties Championship against Buckinghamshire. In 1974, he made his only first-class appearance for Oxford University against Nottinghamshire. In this match, he scored 14 runs in the Oxford first-innings, before being dismissed by Bill Taylor. In their second-innings, he scored a single run before being dismissed by Barry Stead. He continued to play Minor counties cricket for Suffolk from 1972 to 1987, which included 63 Minor Counties Championship appearances and 6 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. David Barker Stevenson (November 17, 1801 – March 3, 1859) was a businessman and politician in Canada West. He was born in Clinton, New York in 1801. After his father died, he moved to Hallowell Township in Upper Canada to work in his uncle's general store. After his uncle's death in 1833, he continued to operate the store in partnership with his aunt until 1848, when he formed a partnership with Thomas Nichol.
