David Apasera
David Asibi Ayindenaba Apasera is a Ghanaian politician. He was the presidential candidate for the People's National Convention (PNC) in the 2020 Ghanaian general election. He was member of parliament for Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region of Ghana between 2001 and 2009. Early life and education Apasera was born in Ghana and went through his basic education in the country. Career Apasera is a self-employed Ghanaian politician. Parliamentary elections Apasera first run for elections in the 1996 Ghanaian general election where he contested the Bolgatanga constituency seat on the People's National Convention's (PNC) ticket. He came second with about 21% of the vote. He however beat the incumbent MP, Simon Abingya of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2000 election for the same seat to become the Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga with 50.9% of the votes and with a majority of 7,575. 2020 Ghanaian General Election
General elections were held in Ghana on 7 December 2020. Incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was re-elected in the first round after securing a majority of the votes. Former President John Dramani Mahama says he will contest the results. Edward Nasigrie Mahama (born 15 April 1945) is a Ghanaian medical doctor and politician. Early life and education Born in the village of Sumniboma (northern Ghana) in 1945, Mahama attended Nalerigu Primary and Middle School from 1953 to 1959. He then attended Secondary School in Tamale from 1961 to 1965. Later that year, he was admitted to the University of Ghana in Legon and graduated in 1972 with a medical degree. Medicine Mahama went back to Nalerigu as a medical doctor in September 1973 and four years later, he left Ghana to become an Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician in Chicago, Illinois. During this period, he was also a Clinical Instructor at Northwestern University. In 1990, Mahama was appointed a lecturer at the University of Ghana Medical School and consultant at Accra's Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. Nasiru Sulemana Gbadegbe is a Ghanaian lawyer and judge. He was a justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana between 2009 and 2020. Early life and education Gbadegbe hails from the Volta Region of Ghana. He was born on 8 December 1950. He obtained his bachelor of laws (LLB) degree in 1973 from the University of Ghana and subsequently received his qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law in 1975. Career Prior to Gbadegbe's appointment to the Supreme Court of Ghana in 2009, he had served on the Ghaanaian bench for twenty (20) years. They had originally been scheduled for 7 November 2016, but the date was later rejected by Parliament.
