David Albert Ames (born 10 August 1983) is a British actor, best known for his portrayal of Dominic Copeland in the medical drama ''Holby City''. Appeared in The Madame Blanc Mystery on Channel 5 on 26 January 2023 Early life and career Before getting a degree in drama, Ames was involved in plays at college. He appeared in the play ''The Temperamentals'' as Rudi Geinrich at Greenwich Theatre. ''So So Gay'' called his performance in the play "touching". From 2013-2022, he joined the cast of ''Holby City'' as Dominic Copeland. In 2022, Ames starred as Steven in the play ''Steve'', which was performed at the Seven Dials Playhouse. Ames starred as Tim / Butterfly in ''Horse-Play'' at the Riverside Studios, London, in August-September 2022. Personal life Ames is gay. Prior to becoming an actor, he lived with his family in Hampshire. David Ames (American Footballer)
David Randolph Ames (January 16, 1937 in Portsmouth, Virginia – August 4, 2009 in Richmond, Virginia from Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS)) was an American football defensive back and halfback. He played college football at the University of Richmond, and played professionally in the American Football League (AFL) for the New York Titans and the Denver Broncos in 1961. He was drafted by the National Football League's Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1960 NFL Draft. David Ames (researcher)
David John Ames (born 1954) is an Australian psychiatrist and academic. In addition to being Emeritus Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne, he is a part-time consultant psychiatrist at a number of hospitals in Melbourne, a professorial fellow with The National Ageing Research Institute and a research fellow at the Howard Florey Institute. Over his career, Ames has written over 56 book chapters, edited 22 books, and has published over 300 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Ames' main research and clinical interests have been the detection and management of Alzheimer's disease (AD), new therapies for AD, and the care of the depressed elderly. David Vincent Leslie Ames (born 25 June 1989) is an Irish field hockey player, who plays as a defender or midfielder for Oranje-Rood and the England and Great Britain national teams. He represented Great Britain at the 2016 Summer Olympics and was a member of the England team that won the bronze medal at the 2017 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship. He also represented England at the 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup. Club career Cookstown High School Ames attended Cookstown High School between 2001 and 2009. Between 2007 and 2009 he captained the Cookstown High School team that won the All Ireland Schoolboys Hockey Championship and two successive Burney Cup/McCullough Cup doubles. David Ames (colonel)
David Ames (colonel) (February 2, 1760 - August 6, 1847) served as first superintendent of the Springfield Armory in Springfield, Massachusetts, from 1794 to October 31, 1802. He supplied the American army with shovels and guns during the American Revolution and was commissioned in the militia. Upon completion of service at the Armory, he entered the paper-manufacturing business and by 1838 was proprietor of the most extensive paper manufacturing operation in the United States. Family David Ames was born to John Ames (captain) (April 7, 1738 - June 17, 1805) and Susanna (Howard) Ames (May 14, 1759 - January 11, 1821), both of Bridgewater, Massachusetts. His father was a prominent blacksmith who manufactured shovels and guns both prior to and during the American Revolution.
