Dave Telgheder
David William Telgheder (born November 11, 1966) is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher who played for the New York Mets and Oakland Athletics from 1993 to 1998. Early life and amateur career Telgedher was born in New York to Bill and Ruth Telgedher and raised on the fruit farm his parents owned in Slate Hill, New York. As a youth, he idolized Catfish Hunter and Ron Guidry and was a fan of the New York Yankees "until Steinbrenner started trading everybody," including Chris Chambliss, Graig Nettles and Sparky Lyle. Telgheder attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and in 1987 he played collegiate summer baseball with the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Graig Nettles
Graig Nettles (born August 20, 1944), nicknamed "Puff", is an American former Major League Baseball third baseman. During a 22-year baseball career, he played for the Minnesota Twins (1967–1969), Cleveland Indians (1970–1972), New York Yankees (1973–1983), San Diego Padres (1984–1986), Atlanta Braves (1987), and Montreal Expos (1988). Nettles was one of the best defensive third basemen of all time, and despite his relatively low career batting average, he was an excellent offensive contributor, particularly in clutch moments with players in scoring position. A color commentator or expert commentator is a sports commentator who assists the main (play-by-play) commentator, typically by filling in when play is not in progress. Minisink Valley High School
Minisink Valley High School is a secondary school located in Slate Hill, New York. It contains an enrollment of over 1100 students. The school, part of the Minisink Valley Central School District, was established in 1958 as a secondary school for grades 7–10. A junior class established in the 1959-60 school year became the first class to graduate in June 1961. Over the next decade, enrollment in the school increased so rapidly that in 1971, a bond was passed by district residents to build a new high school adjacent to the original school building. Reginald G. Kierstead High School was completed in 1974, and provided a comfortable home for the upperclassmen of the district. The Harwich Mariners are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Harwich, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's East Division.
