Dave Maxey
Dave Maxey (born 1973) is an American marketing professional and Republican Party (United States), Republican politician. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 15th Assembly district since January 2023. Biography Dave Maxey was born in Wisconsin and graduated from Brookfield East High School in 1991 and enlisted in the United States Navy. After his term of enlistment, he attended Waukesha County Technical College and earned an associate degree in marketing. Political career In 2003, he moved to New Berlin, Wisconsin, where he has since resided. In 2008, he ran for and was elected to the New Berlin Board of Education. He served nine years on the board, including six as president. He was subsequently elected to the New Berlin city council in 2017. In April 2022, incumbent Wisconsin state representative Joe Sanfelippo announced he would not seek another term and would retire at the end of the 105th Wisconsin Legislature. Wisconsin's 15th Assembly District
The 15th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeastern Wisconsin, the district comprises parts of western Milwaukee County and eastern Waukesha County. It contains all of the city of New Berlin and part of the city of West Allis. The district is represented by Republican Dave Maxey, since January 2023. Wisconsin Elections Commission
The Wisconsin Elections Commission is a bipartisan regulatory agency of the State of Wisconsin established to administer and enforce election laws in the state. The Wisconsin Elections Commission was established by a 2015 act of the Wisconsin Legislature which also established the Wisconsin Ethics Commission to administer campaign finance, ethics, and lobbying laws. The two commissions began operation on June 30, 2016, replacing the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB), which was abolished. The Government Accountability Board had been established in 2008 to replace the Wisconsin Elections Board and Wisconsin Ethics Board. The Wisconsin State Assembly elections of 2022 were held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. All 99 seats in the Wisconsin State Assembly were up for election. This was the first election to take place after redistricting following the 2020 United States census. Joe Sanfelippo (born February 26, 1964) is an American businessman and politician. He was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 15th Assembly district from 2013 to 2022. Biography From West Allis, Wisconsin, Sanfelippo went to Marquette University and then opened a landscape company. Sanfelippo served on the Milwaukee County, Wisconsin Board of Supervisors. In November 2012, Sanfelippo was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly as a Republican. On February 13, 2020, speaking on the radio for the Wisconsin Republican Party, and in support of a crime bill, Sanfelippo stated, "Violent crime rates increased in all but two Wisconsin cities between 2008 and 2017." The national media fact-checking organization, PolitiFact evaluated his claim and found it to be "Pants On Fire" in error. His conclusions were based on flawed data, and almost entirely false.
