Dave Madsen
Dave Madsen is an American politician who is currently the representative for Pennsylvania's 104th District. He had previously served as a member of the Harrisburg City Council for five years starting in 2017. Political career Harrisburg City Council Before being elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Madsen served as a member of the Harrisburg City Council for five years starting in 2017 as a Democrat. During his time as councilmen, Madsen fostered community outreach and worked as the AFL–CIO community services and education director. He was also the chair of the council’s public works committee. Steelton, Pennsylvania
Steelton is a borough in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States, southeast of Harrisburg. The population was 6,263 at the 2020 census. The borough is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area. History After initial habitation by Susquehannock Indians and subsequent nearby Harrisburg establishment, the area was owned by the Kelker family of Harrisburg by the 1800s. The 100-acre area was chosen in 1866 by Samuel Morse Felton Sr., president of the Pennsylvania Steel Company, to begin construction of a steel mill. This particular site was favored because of the location's proximity to the Pennsylvania Railroad, the Pennsylvania Canal, and the nearby iron mine in Cornwall, Lebanon County. The land was purchased from owners Henry A. and Rudolph F. Wanda R. D. Williams (born 1953) is an American Democratic Party (United States), Democratic politician from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania currently serving as 39th Mayor of Harrisburg. Susan C. Helm (born December 12, 1943) is a former Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 104th District and was elected in 2006. Helm earned an associate degree from the Harrisburg Area Community College. She worked as a Word Processing Manager for Capital Blue Cross from 1961 though 1986. Helm owned her own real estate broker agency, "Sue At The Helm Real Estate," a franchise of Century 21 Real Estate, from 1986 through 2006. Helm was a candidate for Pennsylvania's 17th congressional district in 2004, losing the Republican nomination to Scott Paterno.
