Dave Lefotu
David Lefotu (born March 25, 1992) is an American football offensive lineman who is a free agent. He played college football at University of Hawaii at Manoa and attended Pearl City High School in Pearl City, Hawaii. He has been a member of the Spokane Empire, Tampa Bay Storm and Albany Empire. College career Lefotu played for the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors from 2010 to 2014. He was the team's starter his final three and a half years and helped the Rainbow Warriors to 14 wins. He played in 44 games during his career including 24 starts at guard. Professional career Spokane Empire In December 2015, Lefotu signed with the Spokane Empire of the Indoor Football League. Lefotu was named First Team All-IFL Offense as a rookie following the season, helping the Empire to a conference championship and 2016 United Bowl appearance. In gridiron football, a lineman is a player who specializes in play at the line of scrimmage. The linemen of the team currently in possession of the ball are the offensive line, while linemen on the opposing team are the defensive line. A number of NFL rules specifically address restrictions and requirements for the offensive line, whose job is to help protect the quarterback from getting sacked for a loss, or worse, fumbling. Indoor Football League
The Indoor Football League (IFL) is a professional indoor American football league created in 2008 out of the merger between the Intense Football League and United Indoor Football. It has one of the largest number of currently active teams among indoor football leagues. The league has operated continuously under the same name and corporate structure longer than any other current indoor football league. With the closure of the Arena Football League in 2019, the IFL is the oldest active professional indoor football league in North America. As of 2022 season, the league consists of 14 teams in two conferences with each team playing 16 games over 19 weeks. Kiliona Lefotu (born November 23, 1983) is a former American football guard. He played college football at Arizona. He was selected by the Washington Redskins in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Early life and college career Born in Honolulu to Samoan American parents, Lefotu attended Arlington High School in Riverside, California. At the University of Arizona, Lefotu played for four years at offensive line on the Arizona Wildcats football team, starting at right guard from 2003 to 2005. Professional career The Washington Redskins selected Lefotu in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft with the 230th overall pick.
