Dave Klein is an American producer, composer and musician with over 25 years' experience as professional drummer, bassist and keyboardist. Recorded and toured throughout North America, Europe, Asia and South America with Agent Orange, Sky Saxon and The Seeds, The Ghastly Ones, Woolly Bandits and The Bomboras and has worked with Rob Zombie and producers Scott Humphrey, Barry Adamson and Christopher Wade Damerst. Owner and operator of Dave Klein Recording, his private studio located in the hills of Highland Park, California. Ghastly Ones
The Ghastly Ones are a surf–garage rock band from Van Nuys, California with a late-night monster movie theme. History The Ghastly Ones were formed by two Special FX make up/movie monster makers, Garrett Immel aka Dr. Lehos and Norman Cabrera aka Baron Shivers. They infused their love of Halloween records, late night monster movies and Screaming Lord Sutch with inspiration from early sixties surf and hot rod acts like The Lively Ones, Avengers VI, and The Del-Aires to create the first "spooky surf" band. The band's first show was at Al's Bar on Halloween 1996, infamous in the punk world for several rowdy Misfits shows. During their early shows, the stage was often decorated with tombstones and cobwebs to give their performances the proper atmosphere. Sepo (band)
SEPO (pronounced "sepo") is an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California, United States. The band was formed in 2012 by front-man and songwriter, Mitch Bateman. According to Bateman the name comes from a derogatory Australian term for Americans. Sepo first gained notoriety for their energetic live shows and their single, Siren, which was part of a documentary titled, ''39 Days''. After the success of Siren, and a few live shows, the band began recording their third album with Dave Klein at Dave Klein Recording Studios in Los Angeles. The Finks
The Finks is an Australian outlaw motorcycle club that was formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1969 and now also has chapters in other states. The name comes from ''The Wizard of Id'' cartoon where the peasants, to his dismay, often proclaim, "The King is a fink!". The logo used by the Finks is of Bung, the king's jester. The pants worn by the jester used to differ in colour depending on the state the chapter resides in. The club was restricted by government actions in South Australia. Despite rivalries, various other groups joined to protest the South Australian government's proposed "anti-bikie legislation". It was reported in October 2013 that most members were to switch to the United States-based Mongols Motorcycle Club. The Bomboras
The Bomboras are an American all-instrumental surf band from Los Angeles, California, United States. The band was formed in the summer of 1994, sharing a love of 1960s surf and garage music such as The Ventures, Booker T, and The Sonics. Donning Day of the Dead regalia onstage, the fivesome tempered their retro-stylings with an update by way of The Ramones, The Pandoras, and Nuggets. Accompanied by frenzied Go Go girls, spitting flames, stage-diving, and destroying their own equipment, the Bomboras’ livid funhouse take on surf rock became an object of fan adoration, albeit a worry to the local fire department. The Seeds
The Seeds were an American psychedelic garage rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1965, best known for their highest charting single "Pushin' Too Hard". The band's classic line-up featured frontman Sky Saxon, guitarist Jan Savage (born Buck Jan Reeder), keyboardist Daryl Hooper and drummer Rick Andridge. In 1968, the band changed their name to ''Sky Saxon and the Seeds'', with Savage and Andridge departing the band. They went on to release a handful of additional singles, with Hooper also departing at some point before splitting up in circa 1972. In 1989, the original lineup of the band reformed for a handful of live dates in the US.
