Dave Hewitt (born 4 November 1995) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for Midlands Hurricanes. He moved from Rochdale Hornets in the RFL League 1. Background Hewitt was born in St Helens, Merseyside, England. Career Hewitt is an England Schoolboys and England Academy international. He was in the Saints Academy system and played his junior rugby league with the Bold Miners club. He has previously played on loan from St. Helens at Oldham in 2015. In 2016 Hewitt joined the Sheffield Eagles on a full-time deal. In July 2016 he joined Oldham on loan from the Eagles Eagle is the common name for many large birds of prey of the family Accipitridae. Oldham is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, amid the Pennines and between the rivers Irk and Medlock, southeast of Rochdale and northeast of Manchester. The Sheffield Eagles are a professional rugby league club that play in the Championship (rugby league), Betfred Championship. The club play their home games at the Olympic Legacy Park (OLP) on the former site of Don Valley Stadium, their former ground. The Midlands Hurricanes are a semi-professional rugby league club jointly based in Birmingham and Coventry, West Midlands, England. They were founded as the Coventry Bears in 1998 and entered the third tier of the British rugby league system, currently known as League 1, in 2015.
