David Archer (quarterback)
David Mark Archer (born February 15, 1962) is a former professional American football player. A undrafted quarterback from Iowa State Cyclones football, Iowa State University, Archer played six seasons in the National Football League (NFL) from 1984 to 1989 for the Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins, San Diego Chargers, and Philadelphia Eagles. Early life Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Archer attended Soda Springs High School in Soda Springs, Idaho. College career After high school Archer played football at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. In 1981 in his second season with the Badgers, Archer received National Junior College Athletic Association, Juco All-American honors and was fourth in the country in passing. David Edward Archer (born September 15, 1960) is a computational ocean chemist, and has been a professor at the Geophysical Sciences department at the University of Chicago since 1993. He has published research on the carbon cycle of the ocean and the sea floor. He has worked on the history of atmospheric concentration, the expectation of fossil fuel over geologic time scales in the future, and the impact of on future ice age cycles, ocean methane hydrate decomposition, and coral reefs. David Myrton Archer (20 August 1931 – 24 October 1992) was a West Indian cricketer and umpire. He played first-class cricket for the Windward Islands but is best known for standing in 28 Test matches in the West Indies between 1981 and 1992. Career Born in Barbados, Archer was a right-hand batsman and slow left-arm bowler. In a club match in Barbados he took 17 wickets, including all ten in one innings. He made three first-class appearances for the Windward Islands. The first came against the touring Australians of 1964–65, when batting at number eleven he scored 11 not out and bowled 10 wicketless overs conceding 50 runs.
