Amira Daugherty, known by her artist name Amira Unplugged, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer. Early life and education Daugherty was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia, where she grew up in a musical household. Her parents encouraged her to join band and orchestra in school, where she played the clarinet and violin. Daugherty earned an associate degree in criminal justice from Georgia State University at age 18. In 2019 she graduated with a B.A. in political science from Agnes Scott College, where she became the first Muslim president of the college's Student Government Association. James Alexander Daugherty (August 30, 1847 – January 26, 1920) was an American politician who was a Democratic U.S. Representative and state judge from southwest Missouri. Biography Daugherty was born in Athens, McMinn County, Tennessee, August 30, 1847. He moved to Missouri with his parents, who settled near Carterville, Jasper County, in 1867. As an adult he was active in all civic enterprises of the State and county. He also worked in farming, stock raising, and miningCongressional directory, Issue 1; Issue 83. Jerome Daugherty (March 25, 1849 – May 24, 1914) was an American Catholic priest and Jesuit who served in many different capacities at Jesuit institutions throughout the northeast United States, eventually becoming president of Georgetown University in 1901. Born in Baltimore, he was educated at Loyola College in Maryland, before entering the Society of Jesus and becoming a member of the first class at Woodstock College. He then taught various subjects, including mathematics, Latin, Ancient Greek, rhetoric, and the humanities in Massachusetts, New York City, and Washington, D.C., and served as minister at many of the institutions there. Jennifer Lee Daugherty (November 8, 1979 – February 11, 2010) was an American woman who was torture-murdered in Greensburg, Pennsylvania as an act of revenge in February 2010. As a member of the Patti Smith Group, he has been nominated twice to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. James Henry Daugherty (June 1, 1889 – February 21, 1974) was an American modernist painter, muralist, children's book author and illustrator. Life Daugherty was born in Asheville, North Carolina. He later lived in Indiana, Ohio, and at the age of 9 he moved to Washington, D.C., where he studied at the Corcoran School of Art. Later, he went to London and studied under Frank Brangwyn. During World War I, he was commissioned to produce propaganda posters for various US Government agencies, including the United States Shipping Board. Billy Joe Daugherty (April 23, 1952 – November 22, 2009) was founder and pastor of Victory Christian Center (now Victory Church) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was also the founder of Victory Christian School, Victory Bible Institute and Victory World Missions Training Center (now Victory College).
