Datsakorn Thonglao ( th, ดัสกร ทองเหลา, , , born December 30, 1983), simply known as Go ( th, โก้, , ) is a Thai footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder. He was known for his deadly free kicks and set-pieces. Club career Datsakorn spent his youth career with Rajpracha between 1998–1999 and made his first senior appearance during 1999–2000 season with the club. BEC Tero Sasana The young midfielder joined a Thai Premier League club, BEC Tero Sasana in a 2001-2002 season and eventually won the league title with the club at the end of the season. The ASEAN Club Championship or ACC is an international club football competition organised by the ASEAN Football Federation between domestic champion clubs. The competition is backed by AFC and FIFA. The first edition was sponsored by LG Electronics, which was also known as LG Cup Asean Club Football Championship. Qualification to the competition was for champions clubs from AFF-affiliated countries only, plus the champions from India in 2003. History The ASEAN Club Championship was first held as biannual tournament in 2003 and 2005, but failed to gain traction due to lack of sponsors and conflict with the main calendar of the Asian Football Confederation. 2008 AFF Suzuki Cup
The 2008 AFF Championship was the seventh edition of the tournament. It was primarily sponsored by Suzuki and therefore officially known as the 2008 AFF Suzuki Cup. The group stage was held in Indonesia and Thailand from 5 to 10 December 2008. Two-legged home-and-away semi-finals and finals were held between 16 and 28 December 2008. Singapore were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Vietnam in the semi-finals. Vietnam won the tournament by a 3–2 victory in the two-legged final against Thailand to win their first title. Summary The tournament would originally have been hosted by Myanmar because of the rotation system among ASEAN countries, however, they withdrew in August 2007 due to security concerns. The 2007 AFF Championship was the 6th edition of the AFF Championship, the football championship of Southeast Asia. The group stage was co-hosted by Singapore and Thailand from 12 to 17 January. Knockout stage with two-leg Home-and-away format was hosted from 23 January to 4 February 2007. It was renamed from the Tiger Cup, due to the cup's main sponsor, Tiger Beer, not continuing their title sponsorship. This was the last event held at Singapore's National Stadium before its redevelopment.
