Dateline Philippines is the flagship midday newscast of the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) covering the day's most important headlines in politics, business, sports, and entertainment. It concentrates on news from the more than 7,000 islands of the Philippines as reported by ABS-CBN News, the largest news organization in the country. It is remarkable for being the network's longest running national newscast that originated on cable and was produced by Sarimanok News Network (now ABS-CBN News Channel). It debuted on July 8, 1996, and was first hosted by Frankie Evangelista, Gene Orejana, and Joyce Burton-Titular. The show now airs from 12:00 NN to 1:00 PM ( PST) and is hosted by Karmina Constantino on weekdays and Rica Lazo on Saturdays. Gretchen Marie Gumabao Fullido (; born June 4, 1984) is a Filipina anchor and model. She rose to prominence after hosting and having guest appearances on several talk shows, televised competitions and sports events. Fullido is the current anchor for the segment, "Star Patrol" on ''TV Patrol'' and under contract with ABS-CBN and TFC. Jose Javelona Sison (April 25, 1963 – April 16, 2022), professionally known as Boyet Sison (), was a Filipino sports commentator and news anchor. Early life and education Boyet Sison was born as Jose Javelona Sison on April 25, 1963, in Manila, to Ady Sison and Rebecca Javelona. He attended Lourdes School of Mandaluyong. Alvin Elchico (; born January 30, 1974) is a Filipino field reporter, newscaster and television host working for ABS-CBN and DZMM. A business reporter early in his career, he was the sole journalist able to report from inside the Oakwood Premier building during the Oakwood mutiny in July 2003.
