''Dasyuris anceps'' is a species of moth in the family Geometridae. It is endemic to New Zealand. Subspecies *''Dasyuris anceps anceps'' Butler, 1877 * ''Dasyuris anceps grisescens'' Prout, 1939 In 1988 John S. Dugdale discussed the two subspecies of this species. Dasyuris Fulminea
''Dasyuris fulminea'' is a species of moth in the family Geometer moth, Geometridae. It was first described by Alfred Philpott and is Endemism, endemic to New Zealand. It has been observed in the regions of the West Coast, Fiordland and Otago. Adults are day flying and are on the wing from December until February. Taxonomy ''D. fulminea'' was first described by Alfred Philpott in 1915 using a male specimen collected by George Howes (entomologist), George Howes on Bold Peak in Otago in February. George Hudson (entomologist), George Hudson discussed and illustrated this species in his 1928 book ''The butterflies and moths of New Zealand''. The holotype specimen is held at Te Papa. Description Philpott originally described this species as follows: This species is similar in appearance to ''Dasyuris callicrena'' but can be distinguished as the lines on the forewings differ between the two species and the cilia of ''D. fulminea'' are only of one colour unlike those of ''D. callicr ...

Dasyuris Octans
''Dasyuris octans'' is a species of moth in the family Geometridae. It is endemic to New Zealand. This moth is classified as "At Risk, Naturally Uncommon" by the Department of Conservation. Taxonomy This species was first described by George Hudson in 1923 using a specimen discovered by Stewart Lindsay in the Hunter Mountains near Lake Manapouri at 4000 ft. Hudson described and illustrated the species in his 1928 publication ''The Butterflies and Moths of New Zealand''. The lectotype is held at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. Description Hudson described the species as follows: This species can be mistaken for '' Dasyuris hectori'' but can be distinguished from that species as ''D. octans'' is smaller, much narrower and has a more orange-ocherous tint. Distribution This species is endemic to New Zealand. Along with the type locality, this species has been collected at Homer, as well as at the Rahine Range, Kaikoura Ranges, Jack's Pass in Hanmer ...

Dasyuris Partheniata
''Dasyuris partheniata'' is a species of moth in the family Geometridae. It is endemic to New Zealand. It is classified as "At Risk, Declining" by the Department of Conservation. Taxonomy This species was first described by Achille Guenée in 1868 from a specimen collected by Richard William Fereday in Canterbury. George Vernon Hudson discussed and illustrated the species in 1898 and again in 1928. He states that Fereday's specimens were collected at the foot of Mount Hutt. The holotype specimen is held at the Natural History Museum, London. Description The eggs of this species are yellowish-white in appearance, elliptical in shape and have hexagonal depressions on the surface. Larvae are coloured pale yellow-brown on their dorsal side and a dull ocherous shade on their lateral side. They have 16 legs and are extremely thin. The pupa is approximately cm long and is initially coloured pale yellow but darkens to golden then dark brown. Hudson described the adults ...

Dasyuris Enysii
''Dasyuris enysii'' is a species of moth in the family Geometridae. It is endemic to New Zealand. This moth is classified as "At Risk, Naturally Uncommon" by the Department of Conservation. Taxonomy This species was first described by Arthur Gardiner Butler in 1877 using specimens collected by John Enys and named ''Fidonia enysii''. In 1884 Edward Meyrick, thinking he was describing a new species, named it ''Statira homomorpha''. In 1885 Meyrick recognised his error and synonymised both previous names naming the species ''Statira enysii''. In 1886 Meyrick renamed the genus ''Statira'' ''Stathmonyma''. George Hudson described and illustrated the species under the name ''Dasyuris enysii'' both in his 1898 book ''New Zealand moths and butterflies (Macrolepidoptera)'' as well as in his 1928 publication ''The Butterflies and Moths of New Zealand''. The type specimen of this species is held at the Natural History Museum, London. Description Butler described the species as f ...
