Daryll Meggatt
Daryll Meggatt (born 20 October 1990) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a left sided defender and co-caretaker manager for Darvel. Meggatt has previously played for Queen's Park, Alloa Athletic (twice), Dundee, Ayr United and East Fife. Career Meggatt began his footballing career at South Camlachie Amateurs, and signed with Queen's Park in June 2010. He made his senior debut on 21 August, in a 1–2 away loss against Albion Rovers. In the 2011–12 season, Meggatt was named in the PFA Scotland Third Division Team of the Year. On 15 May 2012, Meggatt signed with Alloa Athletic. He was a part of the side who achieved promotion to the Scottish Championship in his first season, and made his division debut on 10 August 2013, in a 1–0 home win over Livingston. The Scottish League One, known as cinch League One for sponsorship reasons, is the third tier of the Scottish Professional Football League, the league competition for men's professional football clubs in Scotland. The Scottish League One was established in July 2013, after the Scottish Professional Football League was formed by a merger of the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. Format Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored. At the end of each season, the club with the most points is crowned league champion. If points are equal, the goal difference determines the winner. The Scottish Premiership, known as the cinch Premiership for sponsorship reasons, is the top division of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL), the league competition for men's professional football clubs in Scotland. 2014–15 Scottish Championship
The 2014–15 Scottish Championship is the 20th season in the current format of 10 teams in the second tier of Scottish football. Heart of Midlothian won the title on 22 March 2015 and secured their return to the Scottish Premiership with a record seven matches remaining, after Rangers defeated city rivals Hibernian 2–0. This marked the first time since the 1984-85 season that a side in the same division as an Old Firm club won a league title in Scotland. The 2012–13 Scottish Football League First Division, also known as the 2012–13 Irn Bru Scottish Football League First Division for sponsorship reasons, was the 18th season of the Scottish Football League First Division and the 107th season of a second-tier football league in Scotland. Partick Thistle were confirmed as 2012–13 champions, on 20 April following their 2-0 win over Falkirk. Scottish Football League Second Division
The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two). The effect of the reconstruction was to split these two divisions into three, with the top flight named the Premier Division, second tier the First Division, and a new third tier was created known as the Second Division.
