Darryl Roberts (American Football)
Darryl Keith Roberts (born November 26, 1990) is an American football cornerback who is a free agent. He played college football for Marshall and was drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He has also been a member of the New York Jets, Detroit Lions, and Washington Football Team. Professional career New England Patriots The New England Patriots selected Roberts in the seventh round (247th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. He signed his four-year rookie contract, worth 2.3 million, on May 8, 2015. During training camp, Roberts competed to be a backup cornerback against Tarell Brown, Robert McClain, Bradley Fletcher, Justin Coleman, and Leonard Johnson. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. The cornerback position requires speed, agility, strength, and the ability to make rapid sharp turns. A cornerback's skill set typically requires proficiency in anticipating the quarterback, backpedaling, executing single and zone coverage, disrupting pass routes, block shedding, and tackling. Tarell Brown
Tarell Lameek Brown (born January 6, 1985) is a former American football cornerback. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football for the University of Texas. High school career Brown played for North Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Texas. He played in the 2003 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. College career Brown played defensive back for the Texas Longhorns college football team. He was a member of the National Championship team that played in the 2006 Rose Bowl National Championship Game against USC.
