Darryl Gerard Lewis (born April 16, 1961) is an American former professional football tight end who played one season with the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fifth round of the 1983 NFL draft. Darryll Lamont Lewis (born December 16, 1968) is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Arizona Wildcats, winning the Jim Thorpe Award as the top defensive back in the nation. He was selected by the Houston Oilers in the second round of the 1991 NFL draft. Early years Lewis was born in Bellflower, California. He attended Nogales High School in La Puente, California. Professional career He was selected by the Houston Oilers in the second round (38th overall) of the 1991 NFL draft. He was then traded to the San Diego Chargers in 1999 and again in 2000.
