Darren Turner
Darren Turner (born 13 April 1974) is a British professional racing driver and owner of Base Performance Simulators. He races for Aston Martin Racing as a Factory-backed, factory driver and also works as a high performance test driver for Aston Martin. He was McLaren Autosport BRDC Award, McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year in 1996. He is a former test driver for the McLaren (racing), McLaren Formula One team, but has raced primarily in Touring car racing, touring cars and Sports car racing, sportscars since 2000. He spent 2 years in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, DTM for Keke Rosberg's Mercedes-Benz-powered team, also winning several Stock Car Speed Association, ASCAR races. In 2006 he raced sportscars for Aston Martin, but also competed five rounds of the British Touring Car Championship for SEAT, sharing their 2nd car with James Thompson (racing driver), James Thompson. Camberley
Camberley is a town in the Borough of Surrey Heath in Surrey, England, approximately south-west of Central London. 2009 FIA GT Championship Season
The 2009 FIA GT Championship season was the thirteenth and final season of the FIA GT Championship for grand tourer cars competing in the GT1 and GT2 categories. The season began 3 May, and ended 25 October after eight races. This was also the final season of a combined GT1 and GT2 championship before the launch of the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2010. The 2007 FIA GT Championship was the 11th season of FIA GT Championship auto racing. The 2008 American Le Mans Series season was the 38th season for the IMSA GT Championship, with the tenth season known as the American Le Mans Series. It was a series for Le Mans Prototypes (LMP) and Grand Tourer (GT) race cars divided into four classes: LMP1, LMP2, GT1, and GT2. It began March 15 and ended October 18 after eleven races. The Audi Sport North America team wrapped up its title defence of LMP1 class Teams Championship with three races in hand after the Sports Car Challenge of Mid-Ohio in August. Drivers Marco Werner and Lucas Luhr also secured the Drivers Championship after the Detroit Sports Car Challenge. It was a record fifth ALMS drivers title for Luhr and a fourth for Werner. The 2009 Le Mans Series was the sixth season of Automobile Club de l'Ouest's Le Mans Series. It was contested over five events between 5 April and 13 September 2009.
