Darren Bradley
Darren Michael Bradley (born 24 November 1965) is an English former professional footballer, who played as a midfielder for Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Walsall. He also represented England at youth level. Aston Villa Darren first came to notice to Villa scouts while at secondary school in Kings Norton, before signing for the Villans as an apprentice in 1983. Darren went on to break into the first team at Villa, making 20 appearances. West Bromwich Albion Darren moved to The Hawthorns on 14 March 1986, in a deal that saw Stephen Hunt move in the opposite direction. He went on to spend the majority of his career at West Brom, becoming the captain of the club. Though not a prolific goalscorer, Darren is best remembered amongst West Brom fans for a spectacular 30-yard goal against archrivals Wolverhampton Wanderers, helping them to a 3–2 victory in the Black Country derby in August 1993. Kings Norton
Kings Norton, alternatively King's Norton, is an area of Birmingham, England. Historically in Worcestershire, it was also a Birmingham City Council ward within the Government of Birmingham, England. The district lies 6.5 miles south-southwest of Birmingham city centre and is within 1.5 miles of the north Worcestershire border. The Black Country derby is the local derby between English football teams West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers, apart in the Black Country of the West Midlands. The most successful side in the Black Country derby is West Bromwich Albion, losing just three of the past 23 matches between the two sides. 1992–93 Football League
The 1992–93 season was the 94th completed season of the Football League. This season saw the birth of the Premier League. In 1992, all of the First Division clubs resigned from the Football League and, on 27 May 1992, the FA Premier League was formed as a limited company, which worked out of an office at the Football Association’s then headquarters, Lancaster Gate. Hence, the 104-year-old Football League was reduced from four divisions to three, with the old Second, Third and Fourth Divisions becoming the new First, Second and Third Divisions respectively. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. Stephen Kenneth Hunt (born 4 August 1956) is an English former professional footballer who was later known as Steve Evans. A pacey and creativity left-sided midfielder and winger, with long-range shooting ability, he was capped twice for England in 1984. A winger, he began his career at Aston Villa, making his first-team debut in April 1973. He made seven further appearances before being sold to the New York Cosmos for a £26,000 fee in June 1977. He spent two years with the Cosmos and won the Soccer Bowl in 1977 and 1978, winning the MVP award in the former and providing an assist in the latter. He returned to England to join Coventry City for a £40,000 fee in 1978. He spent six seasons with Coventry, scoring 27 goals in 185 First Division games. He spent part of the 1982 season back on loan at New York Cosmos, where he won a third Soccer Bowl title.
