Nazgûl
The Nazgûl (from Black Speech , "ring", and , "wraith, spirit"), introduced as Black Riders and also called Ringwraiths, Dark Riders, the Nine Riders, or simply the Nine, are fictional characters in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. They were nine Men who had succumbed to Sauron's power through wearing Rings of Power, which gave them immortality but reduced them to invisible wraiths, servants bound to the power of the One Ring and completely under Sauron's control. ''The Lord of the Rings'' calls them Sauron's "most terrible servants". Their leader, known as the Lord of the Nazgûl or the Witch-king of Angmar, had once been the King of Angmar in the north of Eriador. At the end of the Third Age, their main stronghold was the city of Minas Morgul at the entrance to Sauron's realm, Mordor. They dress entirely in black. ''Mage Knight'' is a miniatures wargame using collectible figures, created by WizKids, Inc, and is the earliest example of what is now known as a collectible miniatures game (or CMG). The game was designed by founder Jordan Weisman along with Kevin Barrett. The game is the first to use WizKids' Clix system, combining roleplaying and wargaming elements with aspects of collectible card games. ''Mage Knight'' achieved success after it was introduced in 2000. In October 2010 Wizkids relaunched the ''Mage Knight'' brand with '' Mage Knight Board Game'', a cooperative board game designed by Vlaada Chvátil. In February 2013, WizKids announced that it would release ''Mage Knight: Resurrection'', which utilizes its SwitchClix bases to be compatible with both Mage Knight 2.0 and HeroClix rules. Black Spiders are an English rock band based in Sheffield, England. Their latest and third studio album entered the UK Rock Chart reaching No. 9. re-entering again at No. 28, after Record Store Day (drop ii) History The band formed in early 2008, originally playing a few shows under the name 'the Black Spiders'. They released the three track single "St. Peter" in December 2008, to coincide with a small run of dates with Airbourne on mainland Europe in December of the same year, their first ever tour. A four track EP ''Cinco Hombres, Diez Cojones'' followed in June 2009, shortly after the band's first appearance at the Download festival at Castle Donington which was to be the first release on the band’s own record label Dark Riders. ''Strange Empire'' is a Canadian television drama series that aired on CBC Television in the 2014–15 television season. Created by Laurie Finstad-Knizhnik, the series is a serialized Western drama set in Janestown, near the Alberta-Montana border in the 1860s, in which three women band together for survival after their husbands are murdered. The cast includes Cara Gee, Melissa Farman and Tattiawna Jones. The first season began airing on 6 October 2014 and consists of 13 episodes. CBC cancelled the series in March 2015 after one season. ''Bad Dreams'' is the second studio album by Canadian hip hop group Swollen Members on Battleaxe Records, released in 2001. ''Bad Dreams'' was a progression of the sound the group expressed on Balance leaning more towards the mainstream. "Take It Back" was the album's first single though the record didn't take off until the second single, "Fuel Injected" was released. "Fuel Injected" turned the underground rap group into household names overnight. The follow-up single "Bring It Home" was equally successful peaking at #3 on the Canadian Singles Chart, helping the record attain Platinum certification in Canada. The presence of Moka Only on the group's two biggest singles prompted him to join the group from 2002 to 2005. The 19th and 20th tracks are bonus tracks that appear on the 2002 reissue only. Carle Hessay
Hans Karl Hesse, known in later life as Carle Hessay (30 November 1911 - 1 January 1978),McMann 2003, p. 101.Hilmo, in Woods 2005, p. v. was a German-born Canadian painter. Although much remains uncertain of his early years, he immigrated to Canada in 1927, and later studied at art academies in Dresden and Paris. Hessay served as a Canadian soldier in World War II. After the establishment of peace, he moved to British Columbia, eventually settling in the town of Langley, where he took up art again in the 1950s. Some of his early paintings were done in the manner of Romantic realism. The influence of Expressionism soon became significant, with Hessay drawing on both the European and American movements, together with aspects of Emily Carr and the Group of Seven. He painted landscapes throughout his artistic life, as well as cityscapes, the Spanish Civil War, Biblical prophecy, and conceptions of the far future.
