Lynda Newton (born May 25, 1957) is an American naturopath and retired professional wrestling valet and professional wrestler, better known by her ring name, Dark Journey. Early life Newton was born in Los Angeles, California. She was raised by her grandparents in Brockton, Massachusetts, until the age of nine, when she began living with her mother. Newton attended Brockton High School, leaving in the middle of her senior year. She lived in California and Florida before moving to Atlanta, Georgia. Professional wrestling career Mid-South Wrestling/Universal Wrestling Federation (1985–1987) In 1985, Newton met professional wrestler Dick Slater while working as a stripper in Atlanta. Valerie French is a former professional wrestling valet better known as Sunshine. Professional wrestling career Championship Wrestling from Florida (1982) Valerie French started in wrestling as the valet for her real life cousin Jimmy Garvin in Championship Wrestling from Florida. World Class Championship Wrestling (1983–1986) French became a mainstay with World Class Championship Wrestling in 1983. She was called Sunshine and helped him in his feud with David Von Erich. The Fabulous Freebirds
The Fabulous Freebirds were a professional wrestling tag team who attained fame in the 1980s, performing into the 1990s. The team usually consisted of three wrestlers, although in different situations and points in its history, just two performed under the Freebirds name. The Freebird lineup of Hayes, Roberts, and Gordy was inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2015, and members Hayes, Roberts, Gordy, and Garvin were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016. John Frenkel III (born October 21, 1959) is an American retired professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, "Hollywood" John Tatum. Tatum is best known for his appearances with the Texas-based promotion World Class Championship Wrestling in the 1980s. The Missing Link (wrestler)
Byron James John "Dewey" Robertson (February 28, 1939 - August 16, 2007) was a professional wrestler, known best by his ring name The Missing Link. As The Missing Link, Robertson wore blue and green face paint and shaved portions of his head while letting the hair grow in other areas. His gimmick was similar to that of George Steele and Kamala, a crazy out-of-control wild man who needed a trainer or manager to lead him to the ring. During his matches, Robertson would often ram his own head repeatedly into the turnbuckle or wooden chair, headbutt and dive head first onto an opponent. In professional wrestling, a face (babyface) is a heroic, "good guy" or "fan favorite" wrestler, booked (scripted) by the promotion with the aim of being cheered by fans, and acts as a protagonist to the heels, who are the villainous antagonist or "bad guy" characters. Traditionally, they wrestle within the rules and avoid cheating (in contrast to the villains who use illegal moves and call in additional wrestlers to do their work for them) while behaving positively towards the referee and the audience. Such characters are also referred to as blue-eyes in British wrestling and ''técnicos'' in ''lucha libre''. The face character is portrayed as a hero relative to the heel wrestlers, who are analogous to villains. James Edward Duggan Jr. (born January 14, 1954), better known by his ring name "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, is an American professional wrestler. He is signed to WWE on a Legends contract.
