Darius Hill
Darius E. Hill (born August 26, 1985) is a former American football tight end. He was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played college football at Ball State University. College career After a year as a red-shirt freshman in 2004, Hill appeared in 11 games as a back-up tight end in 2005. Though he caught just 11 passes, 3 were touchdowns, including a game-tying grab in triple overtime of a 60-57 win over Western Michigan in week five. In his second year, Hill saw much more action. He caught at least one pass in 10 of the Cardinals' 12 games, recorded four 100+ yard games and four multiple touchdown games, and lead the team with 741 yards and a school record 10 touchdowns. He also finished second on the team with 42 catches and an average of 17.6 yards per reception. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic. Dante Love
Dante Love is an American former college football player. He played as a wide receiver for the Ball State Cardinals at Ball State University until he suffered a cervical spine fracture during a 2008 season game. At the time of his career-ending injury, Love was the 2008 season's national leader in receiving yards, and he ranked as Ball State's career kick return yards leader and second-leading receiver in terms of yards and number of receptions. 2009 NFL Draft
The 2009 NFL Draft was the seventy-fourth annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. The draft took place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, New York, on April 25 and 26, 2009. The draft consisted of two rounds on the first day, starting at 4:00 pm EDT, and five rounds on the second day, starting at 10:00 am EDT. To compensate for the time change from the previous year and in an effort to help shorten the draft, teams were no longer on the clock for 15 minutes in the first round and 10 minutes in the second round.
