Darius Hamilton
Darius Hamilton (born December 29, 1993) is an American football defensive end who is currently a free agent. He attended Rutgers University. High school career A native of Woodland Park, New Jersey (formerly known as West Paterson), Hamilton attended powerhouse Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, New Jersey, where he was an All-American defensive lineman. Don Bosco won back-to-back New Jersey state championships in 2010 and 2011, finishing the 2011 season as the No. 1 team in the nation according to ''USA Today''. He participated in the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl following his senior season. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section). Keith Lamarr Hamilton (born May 25, 1971, in Paterson, New Jersey) is a former American football defensive tackle for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He played college football at the University of Pittsburgh and was selected in the 1992 NFL Draft. Hamilton spent his entire 12-season career with the Giants and recorded 63 sacks, placing him fourth on the team's career sack list since sacks became an official statistic in 1982. The Alliance of American Football (AAF) was a professional American football minor league. The AAF consisted of eight centrally owned and operated teams in the southern and western United States, seven of which were located in metropolitan areas with at least one major professional sports franchise.
