Dario Cantarelli (born 16 September 1945) is an Italian actor. Biography He began his acting career on stage in 1973 with Carlo Cecchi's Granteatro company, playing roles in plays by William Shakespeare (''Antony and Cleopatra''), Eduardo De Filippo ('' Filumena Marturano''), Molière, Luigi Pirandello, Harold Pinter and Bertolt Brecht. During those same years, he began acting in movies, directed by filmmakers such as Nanni Moretti, Marco Bellocchio, Paolo Sorrentino and the Taviani brothers. He also works with the Ater company in Alexandr Vasiljevič Suchovo-Kobylin's The Vampire of St. Petersburg and Italo Svevo's La burla riuscita. He is known to horror film fans for his two giallo masterpieces, ''The House with Laughing Windows'' (1976) and '' Zeder'' (1983). Early life and career Pupi Avati was born in Bologna in 1938. After attending school and studying Political Science at the University of Florence, he started working at a frozen food company. Paolo Taviani (; born 8 November 1931) and Vittorio Taviani (; 20 September 1929 – 15 April 2018), collectively referred to as the Taviani brothers, were Italian film directors and screenwriters who collaborated on film productions. Daniele Luchetti (; born 25 July 1960) is an Italian film director, screenwriter and actor. Life and career Luchetti was born in Rome. He debuted as assistant director for Nanni Moretti in ''Bianca'' (1983) and ''The Mass Is Ended'' (1985).
