Darcy Byrne-Jones
Darcy Byrne-Jones (born 20 September 1995) is an Australian rules footballer currently playing for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He attended Scotch College, Melbourne with fellow draftees Jack Billings, Jake Kelly (Australian footballer), Jake Kelly and Jack Sinclair (footballer), Jack Sinclair. He made his AFL debut in the third round of the 2016 AFL season, kicking his first goal with blood running down his face due to a previous collision with a teammate. Byrne-Jones won a NAB Rising Star nomination in Round 10 of the 2016 AFL Season. Byrne-Jones had a breakout season in 2019, finishing second in John Cahill Medal, Port Adelaide's best and fairest award. He then had another breakout season in 2020, earning his first All-Australian selection and winning the John Cahill Medal. Oakleigh Chargers
The Oakleigh Chargers is an Australian rules football club playing in the NAB League, the top statewide under-18 competition in Victoria, Australia. They are based at Warrawee Park in Oakleigh, Victoria, representing the southeastern suburban area of Melbourne. The Chargers were one of two additional metropolitan clubs introduced to the competition in 1995 as part of a plan by the AFL to replace the traditional club zones with independent junior clubs. This was to help aid in player development and the process of the AFL draft. In June 2008 the Chargers moved into a new pavilion at Warrawee Park. The chargers are aligned to Collingwood, Richmond & Port Melbourne. Jake Kelly (Australian Footballer)
Jake Kelly (born 21 January 1995) is a professional Australian rules football player who plays for the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL), having been initially drafted to the Adelaide Football Club. Kelly was drafted with pick 40 in the 2014 Rookie Draft, and is the son of former player Craig. Early life The son of premiership player Craig Kelly, Kelly played for the Kew Comets and the Glen Iris Gladiators, part of the Yarra Junior Football League, in his youth. He then played for his high school Scotch College, Melbourne and the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup and also made appearances for Collingwood's VFL side as a teenager. 2016 AFL Season
The 2016 AFL season was the 120th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 24 March until 1 October, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. Thirty-four players, seventeen of whom were still active in the league, missed the season through suspension by the World Anti-Doping Agency, for doping infringements which occurred at the Essendon Football Club as part of its 2012 sports supplements program. Jack Sinclair (born 12 February 1995) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Sinclair grew up supporting Carlton due to his father, but his maternal grandfather played for St. Kilda, a team he would ultimately join in 2015. Sinclair attended Scotch College with future St Kilda teammate Jack Billings. He grew up in the Melbourne suburbs of Kew East and Balwyn. Sinclair was overlooked in his draft year 2013. Jack Billings (born 18 August 1995) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Billings played TAC Cup with Oakleigh Chargers and played for Vic Metro in Under 18 Championships. Billings is a two-time Under 18 All-Australian after making the team as an underage player. He was taken by St Kilda with pick #3 in the 2013 National Draft. AFL career Billings made his debut in Round 1 of the 2014 AFL season against Melbourne. Billings started as the substitute and had limited game time.
