The Darby Military Community, previously known as Camp Darby, is a United States military complex in Italy located between Pisa and Livorno. It is under Italian military control and can be managed anytime by Italian authorities. The Northern part of the base has been transferred to the Italian Army, which transferred its Special Forces Command to Darby on 10 June 2020. The base was formally dedicated on 15 November 1952 as Camp Darby, and is named in memory of Brigadier General William O. Darby, Assistant Division Commander of the 10th Mountain Division, who was killed by enemy artillery on 30 April 1945 on the shore of Lake Garda, Italy. Ernest Hebert (born May 4, 1941) is an American author. He is best known for the Darby Chronicles Series, which is a series of seven novels written between 1979 and 2014 about modern life in a fictional New Hampshire town as it transitions from relative rural poverty to being more upscale, almost suburban. He has also written several stand-alone novels, including ''Mad Boys'', ''The Old American'', and ''The Contrarian Voice: And Other Poems''. Darby Generating Station is a 480 megawatt ( MW), natural gas peaker plant located in Darby Township, Pickaway County near Mount Sterling, Ohio. The plant is currently owned by Lightstone Generation LLC, a 50-50 joint venture of The Blackstone Group and ArcLight Capital Partners. The plant has six units and began operations in 2001. Darby Green
Darby Green is a village in the parish of Yateley, North East Hampshire, England. The electoral ward of Frogmore and Darby Green is separated from the rest of the parish by a small gap around Clarks Farm, until recently a composting farm in the mushroom producing industry. The ward has a boundary shared with Blackwater, which is one part of the Civil Parish of Hawley. Parson Darby was a local vicar and a highwayman; he was supposedly hung at the junction of the B3272 and Darby Green Road. The historian Sidney Loader was a resident of Yateley and lived near this spot. There used to be a tin church at the corner of the B3272 named for St Barnabas.
