Daramalan College
Daramalan College is a Roman Catholic high school in Canberra, Australia, located in the suburb of Dickson. It encompasses Year 7 to Year 12, in a co-educational environment. Run by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, it has an emblem of a red eagle on a black shield. Its theme colours are red and black. History Daramalan College was founded in 1962 as an all-boys school, with girls enrolling in Years 11 and 12 from 1977, and in Year 7 onwards in 1996. The school's motto is "Fortes in Fide," which translates from Latin to "Strong in Faith." In 2017 Daramalan renovated the Dempsey Wing, designed to allow improved education in Science and English. It features new Science Labs and three English classrooms. This building started constructions in 2016 and ended in 2017. Also included in the building is a new Uniform Shop. Peking Duk are an electronic music group made up of disc jockeys and music producers Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles. The pair first garnered attention in 2012 with the release of a Passion Pit bootleg remix. Their biggest hit "High (Peking Duk song), High" reached 5 on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Singles Chart, achieved a triple platinum certification and won the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release at the ARIA Music Awards of 2014.. Clonakilla
Clonakilla is an Australian winery based in the Canberra wine region of Murrumbateman, New South Wales. History Dr. John Kirk AM immigrated to Australia from the United Kingdom to work as a research scientist at the CSIRO in 1968. In 1971, he founded Clonakilla, named after the farm owned by his grandfather in County Clare, Ireland. The name of the winery translates to "meadow of the church". Clonakilla was the first commercial winery to open in the region and John Kirk is often referred to as the "father" of the wine industry in the area. The first wines from the estate, a Riesling and a Cabernet Shiraz were produced in 1976 after initial difficulties with droughts and lack of irrigation.
