Daqing Station (Heilongjiang)
Daqing station () is a railway and metro station located in South District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is served by the Taiwan Railways Administration and Taichung Metro. The metro station opened on December 19, 2020. Overview The station began as a TRA at-grade local station. The TRA station was elevated on October 28, 2018, as part of the modernization process on the Taichung Line. The metro portion of the station is also elevated, and the two are connected by a bridge. The station is primarily serviced by Local Trains (區間車). A few times per day a ''Chu-Kuang Express'' (莒光號) or a ''Tzu-Chiang Limited Express'' (自強號) stops at the station. Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) is a railway operator in Taiwan. It is an agency of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, responsible for managing, maintaining, and running conventional passenger and freight railway services on 1097 km of track in Taiwan. Kaohsiung Main Station () is a railway and metro station in Sanmin District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan served by the Taiwan Railways and Kaohsiung Rapid Transit. It is one of four ''special class'' stations, the highest class with the most services. It is currently undergoing reconstruction, scheduled to be complete in 2024. History The main railway station serving Kaohsiung, formerly known as Takau () and , was located at Hamasen. It opened in 1900 and served trains to Tainan. The Fengshan (then ) line opened in 1907. Taichung Mosque
The Taichung Mosque () is a mosque in Nantun District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is the fourth mosque to be built in Taiwan. History After fleeing Mainland China with the Nationalist Government at the end of Chinese Civil War in 1949, some Chinese Muslims resided in Tianzhong Township, Changhua County. To accommodate theirs needs to pray, Muslims did their prayers in some houses. One notable house used for prayer was the house of Qi Yulao (耆于老). When their number grew bigger, such venues could no longer accommodate all of them.
