CFL Cargo Danmark (CFLCD) is a private freight railway company in Denmark. It is presenrtly a subsidiary of Luxembourg's CFL Cargo, which is in turn owned by the national railway company of Luxembourg, Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL) and ArcelorMittal. History The company was established in August 2004 as ''Dansk Jernbane ApS'' (abbreviated ''DJ'' and stylized ''DJ='') as an Affiliate (commerce), affiliate to the CFL-owned German company GmbH (neg) by the CFL subsidiary EuroLuxCargo. On 24 January 2005, Banedanmark, Rail Net Denmark issued the first operator safety certificate to Dansk Jernbane, permitting the operation of freight services by the company on the Danish railway network west of the Great Belt. Tønder
Tønder (; german: Tondern ) is a town in the Region of Southern Denmark. With a population of 7,505 (as of 1 January 2022), it is the main town and the administrative seat of the Tønder Municipality. History The first mention of Tønder might have been in the mid-12th century, when the Arab geographer Muhammad al-Idrisi mentioned the landmark ''Tu(r)ndira'', which might have been a reference to either Tønder, or the nearby town of Møgeltønder. Tønder was granted port privileges by the Hanseatic League in 1243, making it Denmark's oldest privileged market town. In 1532 it was hit by severe floods, with water levels reaching 1.8 m in St Laurent's church, 5.3 m above sea level. Rail Transport In Denmark
The rail transport system in Denmark consists of 2,633 km of railway lines, of which the Copenhagen S-train network, the main line Helsingør- Copenhagen- Padborg (at the German border), and the Lunderskov-Esbjerg line are electrified. Most traffic is passenger trains, although there is considerable transit goods traffic between Sweden and Germany. Maintenance work on most Danish railway lines is done by Banedanmark, a state-owned company that also allocates tracks for train operators. The majority of passenger trains are operated by DSB, with Arriva and Nordjyske Jernbaner operating on some lines in Jutland. Goods transport is mainly performed by DB Schenker Rail, although other operators take care of a significant portion of the non-transit traffic. Grenå
Grenaa (or Grenå) is a Danish town and seaport on the east coast of the Jutlandic peninsula. Tourism, education and commerce are important sectors in the economy of Grenaa. Nyborg
Nyborg is a city in central Denmark, located in Nyborg Municipality on the island of Funen and with a population of 17,525 (2022). It is the easternmost settlement on Funen. By road, it is located 34 km east of Odense, 35 km north of Svendborg and 21 km south of Kerteminde. It also connects to Korsør through the Great Belt Bridge. Frederikshavn () is a Danish town in Frederikshavn municipality, Region Nordjylland, on the northeast coast of the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. Its name translates to "Frederik's harbor".
