Danny Thomas
Amos Muzyad Yaqoob Kairouz, (born January 6, 1912 – February 6, 1991) known professionally as Danny Thomas, was an American comedian, actor, singer, producer, and philanthropist. He created and starred in ''The Danny Thomas Show''. In addition to guest roles on many of the comedy, talk, and musical variety programs of his time, his legacy includes a lifelong dedication to fundraising for charity. Thomas founded the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, a leading center in pediatrics with a focus on Childhood cancer, pediatric cancer. St. Jude has affiliate hospitals in eight other American cities as of early 2020. Deerfield is a village in Lenawee County, Michigan, Lenawee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 901 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. Tallulah Brockman Bankhead (January 31, 1902 – December 12, 1968) was an American actress. Primarily an actress of the stage, Bankhead also appeared in several films including an award-winning performance in Alfred Hitchcock's ''Lifeboat (1944 film), Lifeboat'' (1944). Don Ameche (; born Dominic Felix Amici; May 31, 1908 – December 6, 1993) was an American actor, comedian and vaudevillian. After playing in college shows, repertory theatre, and vaudeville, he became a major radio star in the early 1930s, which led to the offer of a movie contract from 20th Century Fox in 1935. In the 1950s he worked on Broadway and in television, and was the host of NBC's ''International Showtime'' from 1961 to 1965. Returning to film work in his later years, Ameche enjoyed a fruitful revival of his career, beginning with his role as a villain in ''Trading Places'' (1983). ''Drene Time'' (aka ''The Drene Show'') was a 30-minute radio variety show starring Don Ameche and singer-actress Frances Langford as co-hosts, airing on NBC's Sunday night schedule (10:00-10:30pm Eastern) in 1946–47. The series was sponsored by Procter & Gamble's Drene Shampoo, and the announcer was Tobe Reed. When the series first began on September 8, 1946, Ameche was its lead. The show's married protagonists, portrayed by Don Ameche (later by Lew Parker) and Frances Langford, spent nearly all their time together in a relentless verbal war.
