Danny Preston
Daniel James Preston (born 6 August 2000) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left back for Alfreton Town in the National League North. Career Nottingham Forest Preston joined the Nottingham Forest academy in 2016. During the 2018–19 season, Preston trained with the first team under Aitor Karanka. On 5 December 2019, Preston moved on loan to National League North side Alfreton Town. Preston made 8 appearances for Alfreton during his spell at the club. On 3 September 2020, Preston made his second loan spell, joining EFL League Two side Grimsby Town on a season-long loan. He made his debut on 5 September 2020, starting in an EFL Cup match against Morecambe. On 1 February 2021, Preston was recalled from his loan spell at Grimsby, having made 29 appearances. Morecambe ( ) is a seaside town and civil parish in the City of Lancaster district in Lancashire, England. It is in Morecambe Bay on the Irish Sea. Name The first use of the name was by John Whitaker in his ''History of Manchester'' (1771), when he refers to the "æstury of Moricambe". It next appears four years later in ''Antiquities of Furness'', where the bay is described as "the Bay of Morecambe". Alfreton ( ) is a town and civil parish in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, England. The town was formerly a Norman Manor and later an Urban District. The population of the Alfreton parish was 7,971 at the 2011 Census. The villages of Ironville, Riddings, Somercotes and Swanwick were historically part of the Manor and Urban District, and the population including these was 24,476 in 2001. Aitor Karanka de la Hoz (Basque and ; born 18 September 1973) is a Spanish football manager and former player who was most recently the head coach of Segunda División club Granada. Save for a brief spell in the United States at age 32, Karanka played solely in Spain for Athletic Bilbao and Real Madrid, appearing in 275 La Liga matches over 13 seasons and winning six honours with the latter.
