Danny Lamb
Daniel John Lamb (born 7 September 1995) is an English cricketer, who plays for Lancashire. Lamb is an all-rounder. Personal life Lamb is from Preston, Lancashire, England, and attended St Michael's Church of England High School, Chorley. His sister Emma plays for Lancashire Women, and has played for Lancashire Thunder. Career Lamb has played club cricket for Bramhall in the Cheshire County Cricket League, and Leigh. In 2015, Lamb signed a scholarship deal with Lancashire, having already featured in Second XI matches for them. Lamb made his List A debut for Lancashire in the 2017 Royal London One-Day Cup on 14 May 2017. He made his Twenty20 debut for Lancashire in the 2017 NatWest t20 Blast on 9 July 2017. In June 2018, Lamb made his first-class debut as a Concussion substitute for Joe Mennie. He was the first concussion substitute in English cricket. Preston () is a city on the north bank of the River Ribble in Lancashire, England. Lancashire Thunder were an English women's Twenty20 cricket team based in Manchester, Lancashire that competed in England’s women's Twenty20 competition, the Women's Cricket Super League. Thunder played their home matches at Old Trafford and various grounds across the North West. They were captained by Kate Cross and coached by Mark McInnes, working with General Manager Bobby Cross. 2018 T20 Blast
The 2018 Vitality Blast was the 2018 season of the t20 Blast, a professional Twenty20 cricket league in England and Wales. It was the first season in which the domestic T20 competition, ran by the ECB, has been branded as the Vitality Blast due to a new sponsorship deal. The league consisted of the 18 first-class county teams divided into two divisions of nine teams each with fixtures played between July and September. The final day took place at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham on 15 September 2018. Nottinghamshire Outlaws were the champions going into the tournament having beaten the Birmingham Bears by 22 runs in the 2017 final. Joe Mennie
Joe Matthew Mennie (born 24 December 1988) is an Australian professional cricketer. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler for South Australia, the representative team of the South Australian Cricket Association, and in the 2017–18 Big Bash League season he will begin playing for the Melbourne Renegades, his fourth BBL team. Mennie lived in New South Wales for most of his early life and made his way through the ranks of New South Wales cricket to be part of New South Wales' Second XI in 2010, but he did not see many further opportunities for him there and moved to South Australia where he quickly made both his first-class and List A cricket debuts. A substitute in the sport of cricket is a replacement player that the umpires allow when a player has been injured or become ill, after the nomination of the players at the start of the game. The rules for substitutes appear in Law 24 of the ''Laws of Cricket''. Overview A substitute can act for the injured or ill player in the field, although they may not bowl, bat or act as captain, unless otherwise agreed by the captains. A player may bat, bowl and field even if he has had a substitute for part of the game, though they need to wait for a period equal to their time off the field until they bat or bowl again. Leigh is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, Greater Manchester, England, on low-lying land northwest of Chat Moss.
