Danny Baugher
Erle Daniel Baugher, IV (born January 24, 1984) is a former American football punter. He was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Arizona. Baugher was also a member of the New England Patriots, Rhein Fire, Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Locomotives, Atlanta Falcons and Oakland Raiders. College career Baugher attended the University of Arizona, where he was a finalist for the Ray Guy Award in 2005. Professional career Cincinnati Bengals Baugher was signed as an undrafted free agent after the 2006 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, but was released at the start of training camp. New England Patriots/Rhein Fire On October 10, 2006, he was signed to the Patriots' practice squad but was released on August 29, 2007. A punter (P) in gridiron football is a special teams player who receives the snap (gridiron football), snapped ball directly from the line of scrimmage and then Punt (gridiron football), punts (kicks) the football to the opposing team so as to limit any field position advantage. This generally happens on a fourth down in American football and a third down in Canadian football. Wilmington Clippers
The Wilmington Clippers were a professional American football team that played from 1937 to 1942, and from 1946 to 1949. They were based in the American Association from 1939 to 1941, later returning for the 1946 to 1949 seasons. They were located in Wilmington, Delaware. Shane Lechler
Edward Shane Lechler (; born August 7, 1976) is an American former professional football player who played as punter for 18 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas A&M University and was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. Regarded as one of the greatest punters in NFL history, Lechler was named an All-Pro nine times during his career, and made seven Pro Bowls. He led the league in punting average five times and is the NFL's all-time leader in career punting average. Practice Squad
In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. This is particularly important for professional gridiron football teams, which do not have formal minor league farm team affiliates to train players.
