Daniel Baker is a Sinn Féin politician who was elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly from Belfast West in the 2022 election. Early life Baker attended De La Salle College and St Colm's High School in Twinbrook, Belfast. Political career Baker was co-opted onto Belfast City Council in 2017, and re-elected in 2019, representing the Collin electoral area. Twinbrook, Belfast
Poleglass () is an area of west Belfast in Northern Ireland. It is the name of a townland, a modern electoral ward, and a housing estate. The townland is situated in the civil parish of Derriaghy and the historic Barony of Belfast Upper. It is mainly an Irish nationalist area. Due to its proximity to both Belfast and Lisburn, it has become popular with commuters. This has led to the swift growth of housing in the area and a sharp rise in house prices. Addresses in Poleglass are classed as being in Belfast, and the telephone numbers in the area generally start with '90' as with the rest of Belfast.
