Danko Jones, is a Canadian rock singer, guitarist and composer. He is the main singer and guitarist of his self-titled rock trio, which was formed in 1996. Also he contributes as a music journalist for ''The Huffington Post'', ''Close-Up Magazine'', ''Rock Zone Magazine'' and ''Burning Guitars''. Biography Born and raised in Toronto. When he was six, he played for the first time on an acoustic guitar, and later, when he got into rock music, he got for Christmas a new electric guitar. While studying at high school, he was the bassist in his first music group 3 Reasons to Puke (3RP) along with guitarist KongDuro. In 2004 he released a spoken word album. A book about Jones authored by Stuart Berman was released in October 2012: ''Too Much Trouble: A Very Oral History of Danko Jones''. Wacken Open Air (, abbreviated as W:O:A) is a rock music, rock music festival, held annually since 1990 on the first weekend of August in the village of Wacken, Schleswig-Holstein, Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Almost all styles and subgenres of hard rock and heavy metal music, metal are represented and hosted. It is now one of the largest heavy metal festivals in the world and one of the largest open-air festivals in Germany. Annihilator is a Canadian thrash metal band founded in Ottawa in 1984. ''Wild Cat'' is the eighth studio album by Canadian hard rock band Danko Jones. The album was released on March 3, 2017 through AFM Records. Background On December 14, 2016, it was revealed that the title of the 8th Danko Jones album would be ''Wild Cat'', and that it would be released on March 3, 2017. The band also announced a 17-date European tour to accompany the release of the album. 2017 saw four more tours: a spring Canadian tour, the usual summer festival tour, an autumn Canadian tour and a winter Nordic tour. On February 1, 2018, it was announced they'd be supporting Skindred on their April UK tour, alongside CKY. In May, they announced another European tour scheduled for November/December.
