The Danish PGA Championship was a golf tournament in the Nordic Golf League held in Denmark. From 1993 to 1997 it was an event on the Challenge Tour The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The .... Farsø
Farsø is a town with a population of 3,349 (1 January 2022) in Region Nordjylland in Denmark in the Vesthimmerland Municipality. Farsø was the birthplace of Johannes Vilhelm Jensen, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1944. The village of Vognsild is located to the west of Farsø. Farsø is also called one of the head cities of Vesthimmerland Municipality along with Aars, Løgstør and Aalestrup. History In 1975, the city was described as follows: "Farsø with church, rectory, School, Pharmacist's retail store, District housing, Veirmølle". The town of Farsø got a savings bank in 1877. The inn came in 1883, but until 1912, it was only for road users. After the inauguration of Farsø Hospital in 1894, the city went well around 1900, had a meeting house (from 1897), a mission house (from 1898), a pharmacy, district housing, several merchandise and the joint venture. 2016 Nordic Golf League
The 2016 Nordic Golf League was the 18th season of the Nordic Golf League, one of four third-tier tours recognised by the European Tour. With the exception of a four-event Winter Series held in Spain, all official tournaments were held in Norway, Sweden, Finland, or Denmark. Although the ranking was calculated in euros, many prize funds were set in Danish krone or Swedish krona. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2016 season. Order of Merit The top five players (not otherwise exempt) on the Nordic Golf League Ranking earned Challenge Tour cards for 2017. Since the third-place finisher earned Challenge Tour status in a higher category by making the cut in the final stage of Q School, the sixth-place finisher received the fifth card. Peter Malmgren
Peter Malmgren (born 21 January 1971) is a Swedish professional golfer. He played mainly on the Challenge Tour and the Nordic Golf League, where he topped the 2004 Order of Merit. As an amateur, he won the 1992 European Youths' Team Championship. Early life and amateur career Malmgren was born in Malmö and grew up in nearby Falsterbo in Vellinge Municipality. Malmgren joined the National Team, and in 1992 he won the European Youths' Team Championship in Helsinki, Finland. His team, made up of Niclas Fasth, Max Anglert and Fredrik Andersson, Mikael Lundberg and Rikard Strångert, beat the England team 4.5–2.5 in the final. Professional career Malmgren turned professional in 1995 and joined the Swedish Golf Tour, and from 1999 the Nordic Golf League, where he won events in Sweden, Latvia, Denmark and Norway. Mads Søgaard (golfer)
Mads Søgaard (born 13 December 2000) is a Danish professional ice hockey goaltender for the Belleville Senators in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect to the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Senators in the second round, 37th overall, in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. After two seasons in the American Hockey League, Søgaard made his NHL debut with the Senators in 2022. Internationally he has played for the Danish national team at the junior level in several tournaments. Playing career Søgaard spent his early career in his native Denmark. Christopher Feldborg Nielsen (born 15 September 1992) is a Swedish professional golfer. He has five wins on the Nordic Golf League (NGL) and won the 2021 NGL Order of Merit to earn promotion to the Challenge Tour after he shot an albatross on the final hole of the Road to Europe Tour Final. Professional career Feldborg Nielsen was born in Ystad, Sweden. He turned professional in 2012 and started playing on the Swedish Golf Tour. In 2013, he joined the Nordic Golf League, where his best finish was a T4 in the Danish PGA Championship. Karl Oskar Anton Karlsson (born 11 September 1993) is a Swedish professional golfer who has played on the European Tour. He won the 2020 RAM Cape Town Open on the Challenge Tour. His best finish on the European Tour was runner-up at the 2019 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. Early life and amateur career Karlsson started playing golf in the year 2000, when his father enrolled him in the junior golf academy at Vassunda Golf Club, near his home town of Uppsala.
