Danish Handball Cup 2019 (women's Handball)
The 2019 Danish Handball Cup ( da, DHF's Landspokalturnering 2019), known as Santander Cup 2019 for sponsorship reasons, is the 56th edition of the national women's handball cup tournament. Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub are the defending champions. Format The initial 6 rounds are managed by the regional federations with the DHF taking over the tournament at the round of 16. It ultimately results in a final four event between Christmas and New Year. SønderjyskE is a Denmark, Danish sport club. They have two team handball, handball teams (one male based in Sønderborg, one female based in Aabenraa), two Football (soccer), football teams (one professional male club and one professional female club, both based in Haderslev) and an SønderjyskE Ishockey, ice hockey team based in Vojens. TTH Holstebro is a men's handball club from Holstebro, Denmark. The team is playing in the Danish Primo Tours Ligaen and play their home matches in Gråkjær Arena. History The club was founded in May 2000, when Holstebro Håndbold 90 and Tvis KFUM merged their first teams to create the new club. Vendsyssel Håndbold was a handball club from Frederikshavn, Denmark. Vendssysel Håndbold competed in the women's Danish 1st Division, until February 2022. The home arena of the club was DRINX Arena in a small town, outside of Sæby, called Syvsten. It was announced in February 2022, that the club had filed for bankruptcy and the players contracts would be dissolved. The team's placement and points in the Danish 1st Division would also be canceled. Randers HK
Randers HK was a women's handball club based in Randers, Denmark. They competed in the Bambusa Kvindeligaen and played their home matches in Arena Randers. In November 2022, the club decided to declare itself bankrupt after failing to raise over DKK 5 million. The club was then withdrawn from the league, with immediately effect. History Randers HK was founded in 1996 as a collaborative effort between several smaller clubs from the Randers Municipality to create a handball team that could represent the region at top level. In 2000, they reached the final of the Women's EHF Challenge Cup.
