Danielle Walker (politician)
Danielle Walker (born August 18, 1976) is an American politician and community activist, currently serving as a Democratic member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 51st district, which covers Morgantown and the majority of Monongalia County. As of 2021, Walker is the only Black woman serving in the West Virginia Legislature. In June 2022, Walker was elected vice chair of the West Virginia Democratic Party. Career Political career In response to the terrorist attack perpetrated on counter-protesters of the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, Walker attended a vigil with her oldest son, which was held on the campus of West Virginia University. West Virginia Circuit Courts
The West Virginia Circuit Courts are the West Virginia state trial courts of general jurisdiction. They are the only state trial courts in West Virginia that are courts of record. West Virginia's 55 counties are divided into 31 circuits, each comprising anywhere from one to four counties. Different circuits have different numbers of judges; 11 circuits have only a single judge. Rodney Pyles (born June 21, 1945) is an American politician who served in the West Virginia House of Delegates from the 51st district from 2016 to 2020. In 2018, Democrats — including Pyles — swept all five seats in the 51st district, the largest multi-member district in the House. West Virginia MetroNews is a radio network heard on many radio stations throughout the State of West Virginia. The network is owned by the West Virginia Radio Corporation. West Virginia MetroNews offers a mix of news and talk. It held the rights to live play-by-play coverage of West Virginia University Mountaineers sports games, which it marketed under the DBA name "Mountaineer Sports Network", but lost these rights following the end of the 2012/13 basketball season. The alt-right, an abbreviation of alternative right, is a far-right, white nationalist movement.
