Danielle Kettlewell
Danielle Merlyn Kettlewell (born 17 November 1992) is an Australian synchronised swimmer. She competed in the team event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She was training for the 2019 FINA World Aquatic Championships of which both her male counterpart, Ethan Calleja and herself have been selected as Australia's first Mixed Duet in the sport of Artistic swimming, formally known as Synchronised Swimming. Synchronised Swimming
Synchronized swimming (in British English, synchronised swimming) or artistic swimming is a sport where swimmers perform a synchronized choreographed routine, accompanied by music. The sport is governed internationally by FINA (the ''Fédération internationale de natation'' or International Swimming Federation). It is traditionally a women's sport, although FINA introduced a new mixed gender duet competition that included one male swimmer in each duet at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships and LEN introduced men's individual events at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships. The National Aquatics Centre (), and colloquially known as the Water Cube () and the Ice Cube (), is an aquatics center at the Olympic Green in Beijing, China. Ethan Calleja
Ethan Christopher Calleja (born 2 December 1999) is an Australian synchronised swimmer. He is the first male synchronised swimmer to compete internationally for Australia. Together with Danielle Kettlewell he placed fifth in the mixed duet event at the 2019 FINA World Aquatic Championships. Career Swimming Calleja had a 13 years long swimming career within Australia. Calleja broke 25 records over his career of which a number remain. He represented Western Australia at five School Sport Australia Swimming championships, and was elected as the team captain in 2016 and 2017. He also competed at the 2014 and 2016 Australian Swimming Championships.
