Daniela Filipiová
Daniela Filipiová (born 9 August 1957) is a Czech architect and politician. She served as Minister of Health for the Czech Republic from 23 January 2009 to 8 May 2009. A member of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) Filipiová was a Senator representing Prague 8. Filipiová graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague in 1983 with a degree in architecture. She married and had a daughter, but was bothered by persistent back problems. In 1986 she underwent spinal cord surgery which left her paralyzed from the waist down. Nonetheless, she continued her career, remarried and had a second daughter. The Czech Republic, or simply Czechia, is a landlocked country in Central Europe. Jan Fischer (politician)
Jan Fischer (; born 2 January 1951) is a Czech politician who served as the prime minister of the Czech Republic from April 2009 to July 2010, heading a caretaker government. Later he was the minister of Finance from July 2013 to January 2014 in another interim government of Jiří Rusnok. A lifelong statistician, he served as president of the Czech Statistical Office beginning in April 2003. In 2012, Fischer announced his candidacy for the 2013 presidential election. In the first round of the election, held in January 2013, he placed third with 16.35% of the vote (841,437 votes). He did not qualify for the second round. The spinal cord is a long, thin, tubular structure made up of nervous tissue, which extends from the medulla oblongata in the brainstem to the lumbar region of the vertebral column (backbone). The backbone encloses the central canal of the spinal cord, which contains cerebrospinal fluid. The brain and spinal cord together make up the central nervous system (CNS).
