Daniel Silveira
Daniel Lucio da Silveira (25 November 1982) is a former Military Police of Rio de Janeiro State, military police officer and Brazilian politician, affiliated with the Brazilian Labour Party (current), PTB. Since 2018 he has been a federal deputy for Rio de Janeiro (state), Rio de Janeiro. Silveira was arrested on 16 February 2021, after publishing a video with an apology for Institutional Act Number Five, AI-5 and attacks on ministers of the Supreme Federal Court, Federal Supreme Court. Chamber Of Deputies (Brazil)
The Chamber of Deputies ( pt, Câmara dos Deputados) is a federal legislative body and the lower house of the National Congress of Brazil. The chamber comprises 513 deputies, who are elected by proportional representation to serve four-year terms. The current President of the Chamber is the Deputy Arthur Lira ( PP- AL), who was elected on 1 February 2021. Structure The number of deputies elected is proportional to the size of the population of the respective state (or of the Federal District) as of 1994. However, no delegation can be made up of less than eight or more than seventy seats. Thus the least populous state elects eight federal deputies and the most populous elects seventy. These restrictions favour the smaller states at the expense of the more populous states and so the size of the delegations is not exactly proportional to population. Marielle Franco
Marielle Franco (; born Marielle Francisco da Silva, 27 July 1979 – 14 March 2018) was a Brazilian politician, sociologist, feminist, socialist and human rights activist. After earning a master's degree in public administration from the Fluminense Federal University, she served as a city councillor of the Municipal Chamber of Rio de Janeiro for the Socialism and Liberty Party (PSOL) from January 2017 until her death. On 14 March 2018, while in a car after delivering a speech in the north of Rio de Janeiro, Franco and her driver were shot multiple times and killed by two murderers travelling in another vehicle. Franco had been an outspoken critic of police brutality and extrajudicial killings, as well as the February 2018 federal intervention by Brazilian president Michel Temer in the state of Rio de Janeiro which resulted in the deployment of the army in police operations. Luís Roberto Barroso (born 11 March 1958) is a Brazilian law professor, jurist, Justice of the Supreme Federal Court of Brazil, having been nominated to the position by President Dilma Rousseff in 2013, and, since 25 May 2020, Barroso has also served as President of the Superior Electoral Court.
