Daniel Salomon (musician)
Daniel Salomon ( he, דניאל סלומון) is an Israeli pop rock singer and musician. Biography Daniel Salomon was born and raised in Haifa. Salomon has been playing the piano since the age of six and began writing music at age 12. He studied composition and orchestral arrangements with Prof. Isaac Sadai. Music career At the age of 25, he started his professional career with Israeli rocker, Aviv Geffen, serving as Geffen's piano player and as the orchestral arranger on Geffen's albums. Later on, he joined Blackfield, led by Geffen and Steven Wilson. In 2002 he released his first solo album (the self-titled "Daniel Salomon") which produced several Israeli radio hits ("Better", "coming from pain") Salomon won the "Composer of the year" award from the Israeli Composers' Society. Haifa
Haifa ( he, חֵיפָה ' ; ar, حَيْفَا ') is the third-largest city in Israel—after Jerusalem and Tel Aviv—with a population of in . Blackfield II
''Blackfield II'' is the second studio album by Blackfield. It was recorded in both Tel Aviv and London, and was released on 13 February 2007 in Europe and 6 March 2007 in the US. We Put Out Records launched media siterelating to the US release of this record. "End of the World" is a cover of an older song in Hebrew, performed by Geffen and Berry Sakharof. Hebrew versions of "1,000 People" and "Epidemic" were included in Geffen's album from 2006, " Im Hazman". A demo version of "Where Is My Love?" was released on the bonus disc of the limited edition of Blackfield's first album. "Christenings" was originally written for Porcupine Tree's 2005 album ''Deadwing'' but was never released. Richard Barbieri and Gavin Harrison are both featured on this track. Blackfield Members
Blackfield is a collaborative music project by the English musician and founder of Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, and Israeli rock singer Aviv Geffen. Together, six albums have been released under the moniker. The first two records, ''Blackfield'' and ''Blackfield II,'' saw Geffen and Wilson working together as equal partners, while the third and fourth, '' Welcome to my DNA'' and ''Blackfield IV,'' saw Geffen take on a leading role, writing all but one track across both albums and providing a significantly increased share of lead vocals. Blackfield I
''Blackfield'' is the debut album by the art rock band Blackfield, released on the Snapper Music/ Helicon labels in February 2004. The album was re-released in August of the same year with an additional three-track bonus disc, followed by a later pressing that contains the album and the three bonus tracks all on one CD. Two songs are covers in English of earlier Aviv Geffen songs in Hebrew, "Cloudy Now" () from 1993 and "Scars" () from 2000. In the latter case, Aviv's original studio recording was simply reused with newly sung vocals. Four singles were released from the album: "Hello", "Pain", "Blackfield" and "Cloudy Now". The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem is an Israeli television series based on the novel of the same name by Sarit Yishai-Levi. It aired beginning on June 7, 2021, on the Yes Drama channel. The first two episodes of the series have been available on Yes VOD since June 3, 2021. At an event held at East Tel Aviv in December 2021, Yes unveiled its new original productions for 2022. It officially announced that the series had been renewed for a second season, which will be screened toward the end of 2022.
