The Daniel Robert House is a historic house located at 25 West End Avenue in Somerville in Somerset County, New Jersey. Lambert & Bunnell was a long-lived American architectural firm from Bridgeport, Connecticut, in business from 1860 to 1901. It was established by Edward R. Lambert (1834-1904) and Rufus W. Bunnell (1835-1909). Founders and history The founder of the firm, Edward Richard Lambert, was born in February 10, 1834, in Milford to Edward Rodolphus Lambert, a surveyor, and Eliza (Boothe) Lambert. He worked for his father and for Bridgeport architect Albert C. Nash, with whom he studied architecture. Circa 1856, when Nash left for Milwaukee, Lambert opened his own architect's office in Bridgeport. In 1858 he was joined by drafter Rufus W. Bunnell, who had worked alongside Lambert in Nash's office in 1854, though Bunnell would go south soon afterwards. Gothic Revival (also referred to as Victorian Gothic, neo-Gothic, or Gothick) is an architectural movement that began in the late 1740s in England. Alexander Jackson Davis, or A. J. Davis (July 24, 1803 – January 14, 1892), was an American architect, known particularly for his association with the Gothic Revival style. Education Davis was born in New York City and studied at the American Academy of Fine Arts, the New-York Drawing Association, and from the Antique casts of the National Academy of Design. The Historical Marker Database (HMdb.org) is an online database that documents locations of numerous historical markers in the United States as well as other countries. The database was launched in 2006 by computer programmer J. J. Prats. The HMdb served as the basis for the database for the online augmented reality game Ingress, which was then later repurposed for Pokémon Go. The HMdb was launched in 2006 with 179 markers that Prats had personally documented. By 2015 the site listed more than 74,000 markers. In addition to listing markers in the United States, the site also lists some markers from more than 40 other countries. By the start of 2018, the site documented more than 100,000 markers.
